Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of emailvanish.com and the EmailVanish temporary email service (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Michael Goldsmith, a sole proprietor based in New Jersey, USA ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. What the Service is
EmailVanish provides temporary, receive-only email addresses. A free address and any messages it receives are deleted automatically, normally ten minutes after the last message arrives. The Service cannot send email. There is no password on a free inbox: anyone who knows an address can view its messages while they exist. Do not use the Service for anything confidential or for any account you need to keep.
2. Who may use it
The Service is not directed at children under 13. You may use it only if you are old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.
3. Acceptable use policy
EmailVanish exists to protect people's privacy. You must not use it, or any address it provides, to:
- break any law or help anyone else break one;
- commit or attempt fraud, including payment fraud, identity theft, phishing, or creating accounts in another person's name;
- repeatedly claim free trials, sign-up bonuses, referral rewards or promotions intended to be used once per person;
- get around a ban, suspension or block that another service has placed on you;
- harass, threaten, stalk or intimidate anyone;
- receive, request or distribute child sexual abuse material or any other illegal content;
- deliberately try to access inboxes that are not yours, for example by guessing or enumerating addresses;
- scrape, overload, probe or interfere with the Service, or access it with automated tools in a way that places an unreasonable load on it;
- resell or reproduce the Service without our written permission.
We may block access, release addresses or report activity to the appropriate authorities when we reasonably believe these rules are being broken. To report misuse, use our contact page.
4. EmailVanish Premium
EmailVanish Premium is an optional subscription, currently $1.99 USD per month, that keeps addresses you choose receiving mail while your subscription is active. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card details. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your Premium dashboard, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Data belonging to a subscription, including kept addresses and stored messages, is deleted thirty days after the subscription ends. Premium addresses are receive-only and remain subject to the acceptable use policy. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us and we will look into it promptly.
5. Advertising, affiliate links and third-party sites
Some pages show advertising served by Google, and some show product recommendations containing affiliate links, for which we may earn a commission. Emails you receive, and pages we link to, may contain links to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for those websites or their content.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, that every message will be delivered, or that any particular website will accept an EmailVanish address. Messages are deleted automatically and cannot be recovered.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, accounts, access or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $10 if you have not paid us anything.
8. Changes and termination
We may change or discontinue any part of the Service, and may update these terms. When we change the terms we will update the date at the top of this page; continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms. If we discontinue Premium, we will stop billing and give subscribers reasonable notice where possible.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
